Our Donor's Choose project has been fully funded and we've received the MP3 players! A big thank you goes out to the people who donated to help fund our project.Here's what we are going to be doing with our new technology. We want to have audiobooks available for our students, but rather than spend money purchasing ebooks, we've decided to create our own. Fourth and fifth graders have been reading picture books into our digital voice recorders. We currently have about 10 stories ready to go. Those recordings are then being transferred to the MP3 players for other students to enjoy. Teachers who are interested in checking out the MP3 players from the library for classroom use can do so at any time.

The hope is that we will eventually acquire enough of these to have listening centers in all of our classrooms. We are off to a decent start.
